The flying Qilin

The flying Qilin, designed and crafted by Du Huan, also known as the "Sugarman," for last year's "Leap of Bamboo Art" exhibition, is the largest Qilin he has ever created.

It showcases the different stages of the artwork's form. When you approach it from underneath and look up, you can clearly see its internal structure, with each angle offering a unique perspective. Qilin holds many legends and is closely associated with religious rituals. From being used in ceremonial practices to becoming an educational exhibition, the bamboo-crafted Qilin represents the ever-changing nature of art, just like the Qilin itself, vibrant and full of creativity.
